Classys reported second-quarter consolidated revenue of 105.5 billion won ($74.6 million), its first quarterly sales above 100 billion won, while operating profit rose 2.2% to 43.9 billion won ($31.1 million). Revenue increased 26.7% from a year earlier, driven by overseas markets and the full consolidation of South American subsidiaries, but the results missed consensus estimates of 109.4 billion won in revenue and 48.4 billion won in operating profit as domestic revenue fell 25.3%. The company cut its annual revenue guidance to 445 billion won from 490 billion won after first-half domestic weakness, even as Europe, North America, Thailand and Japan remained solid and South American units added about 15 billion won in second-quarter revenue. Analysts said competition at home and the delayed rollout of Quadsey left the company exposed to a strong prior-year base effect, while Brazil, where Classys acquired Medsystems and shifted to a direct-sales structure, is now central to second-half and next-year growth.
