The company said the ruling has not taken effect, applies only in China and does not affect customers or patients while the appeal is pending, though an unsuccessful appeal could require changes to its technical solutions there. Angelalign said the case is part of a broader patent dispute brought by Align Technology, while noting that a May 12, 2026 ruling by the Dusseldorf Local Division of the Unified Patent Court rejected a request for a preliminary injunction tied to the same patent family and that two June 26, 2026 first-instance rulings in Zhengzhou dismissed the plaintiff's claims, both of which have been appealed.
