Namibia’s annual inflation rate was 4.4% in July 2026, matching June and marking the highest reading since August 2024. Transport drove the strongest price pressure with a 9.3% increase, followed by hotels, cafés and restaurants at 6.2% and recreation and culture at 5.6%. Housing and utilities and health each rose 4.8%, showing that price gains remained broad across key household spending categories. On a monthly basis, the consumer price index (CPI, a measure of consumer prices) rose 0.1%, easing from a 0.3% increase in the previous month.
