Alphabet's Google has launched Gemini 3.7 Flash, a lower-cost AI model focused on coding and agent-style automation, and is offering it at an introductory rate of $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens through the end of the year before prices revert to $1.50 and $7.50 on Jan. 1, 2027. The model is available through the Gemini API, AI Studio and Antigravity, and is also beginning to be used in Gemini Spark. The release comes three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash. Google said recent gains were driven mainly by algorithmic improvements over that period. Benchmark figures cited in the update showed Gemini 3.7 Flash scoring 56 on Artificial Analysis' high-reasoning intelligence index, up four points from Gemini 3.6 Flash and one point behind GPT-5.6 Terra and Muse Spark 1.2, while delivering output at about 340 tokens per second. Google also pointed to sharper progress in coding and agent tasks, saying DeepSWE v1.1 improved to 65.3% from 49.0% and AutomationBench rose to 30.4% from 17.0%. The launch keeps attention on Google's premium-model roadmap. Gemini 3.5 Pro remains without a clear release date even as investors watch it as a test of whether Google DeepMind can keep pace with Anthropic and OpenAI.
