AMD has launched a four-part bond offering that could raise between $4 billion and $5 billion, as the chipmaker seeks funding for general corporate purposes and potentially to repay existing debt while it expands to meet rising AI-related demand. The senior unsecured notes are due in 2029, 2031, 2033 and 2036, with initial price discussions set at about 70 basis points over U.S. Treasuries for the 3-year tranche, 90 basis points for the 5-year, 100 basis points for the 7-year and 115 basis points for the 10-year debt. AMD filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with the sale, though the filing did not disclose specific terms. Bank of America, JPMorgan, Barclays and Wells Fargo are leading the offering, which is expected to settle on August 17.
