Nu Holdings shares extended their rally on Friday after the Latin American digital bank beat Wall Street's second-quarter estimates and Needham raised its price target. Nu reported earnings of 22 cents a share, above the 20-cent consensus and up from 13 cents a year earlier, while revenue rose 50.30% to $5.51 billion, topping the $5.23 billion estimate. Gross revenue was nearly $5.9 billion and net income reached a record $1.1 billion for the first time, with return on equity at 33%. The company added about 4 million customers to reach 139 million, said Mexico had reached 16 million customers as of July, and cited a full banking license in Brazil and the launch of Croma. Its credit portfolio grew 37% year over year to $39.4 billion, Needham maintained a Buy rating and lifted its target price to $19 from $17, and the shares were up 10.84% at $15.44 on Friday after rising 8.34% in after-hours trading following the results.
