Emart24 said it has grown to 31 stores in Cambodia within two years of entering the market and aims to have more than 70 outlets in the country by year-end, a level that would make it the largest convenience store brand in Cambodia if achieved. The company said average daily sales per Cambodian store this year increased 41% from 2024, while customer traffic rose 17%, pointing to stronger traction as the chain broadens its footprint beyond Phnom Penh into Siem Reap and Battambang. Emart24 became the first Korean convenience store operator to enter Cambodia in 2024 through a master franchise agreement with local joint venture Saihan Partners. It currently operates 31 stores, has 20 more under construction and another 43 under contract and preparing to break ground. After initially setting a five-year goal of 100 stores, Emart24 said it has lifted its target to 200 stores based on growth potential and is accelerating openings. The company said average daily sales and customer counts at its Cambodian stores are roughly double those of its South Korean outlets, supported by a localization strategy built around K-food, ramen cookers, and drinks such as coffee and smoothies.
