Switzerland's economy accelerated sharply in the second quarter, with gross domestic product rising 1.5% quarter on quarter through June after a 0.4% increase in the first three months of the year, according to SECO. The gain marked the country's strongest quarterly growth since the third quarter of 2021. The economy ministry said the pickup reflected Switzerland's relative insulation from the energy-price shock and from uncertainty linked to shifting U.S. tariffs.
