HashKey Exchange and YF Life Insurance International Limited completed a live transaction using HKDAP, a regulated Hong Kong dollar-backed stablecoin issued by Anchorpoint Financial, in a test designed to support future insurance premium payments. The companies said the setup used real funds for both subscription and redemption and could reduce premium settlement times from two to three business days to near real time. The test comes just after Anchorpoint launched HKDAP on Aug. 12 as Hong Kong’s first regulated HKD stablecoin, with initial access limited to institutions, corporate clients and professional investors through distributors including HashKey Exchange and OSL Group. YF Life said it plans to explore introducing HKDAP as a premium payment option, subject to regulatory requirements and its implementation schedule.
