Colombia’s industrial production increased 4.1% year on year in June 2026, recovering from a 0.4% decline in May and coming in above forecasts of 2.1%. The rebound was broad enough to include 24 of the 39 industrial activities tracked in the survey. The strongest gains came from the manufacture of other transport equipment, which rose 22.0%, followed by motor vehicle bodies and trailers at 19.2%, motor vehicles and their engines at 16.5%, luggage, handbags and similar leather goods at 16.2%, and beverages at 15.3%. Real sales also improved, rising 3.9%, while employment continued to lag, falling 1.1%.
