Coinbase will stop supporting cbETH deposits and withdrawals on Arbitrum, Optimism and Polygon from August 17, 2026, while keeping the wrapped staked Ether token available on Ethereum and Base. The exchange said users will no longer be able to send or receive cbETH through the three affected networks after that date and cautioned that funds sent to Coinbase addresses on those networks may not be recoverable. The notice is part of a broader run of Coinbase operational changes, including the planned suspension of six non-USD trading pairs on August 6, 2026, the earlier removal of 25 perpetual futures contracts to concentrate liquidity, and a new arrangement under which spot orders placed on Deribit will be routed to Coinbase Exchange after Deribit received a broker-dealer license from VARA (Dubai's virtual asset regulator). Separately, Coinbase has started rolling out US stock trading for UK customers, offering nearly 4,000 American equities with commission-free trading, fractional shares from £1, and funding in pounds or USDC.
