Marzella argued the episode shows that funding developers alone does not create durable businesses, while builder Handy Andy said some teams are treating continued self-funding as "the last roll of the dice." The backdrop is mixed: XRP closed near a 21-month low this week, but Santiment data showed daily active addresses averaged 35,700 in August, up from 26,400 in July, even as new wallet creation was nearly flat, suggesting higher user activity does not necessarily translate into broader governance participation.
