Situational Awareness LP reported about $20.24 billion in public holdings in a 13F-HR filed with the SEC (U.S. securities regulator) on Aug. 14, 2026, disclosing a pre-crisis snapshot of the fund's portfolio before its July liquidation turmoil. The filing shows an unusually concentrated wager on the AI infrastructure chain: Sandisk accounted for about $5.674 billion, or roughly 28.0% of the portfolio, and Micron made up about $5.574 billion, or about 27.5%. Together, the two storage-related positions exceeded $11.2 billion, or around 55.5% of total reported holdings. Beyond memory and storage chips, the fund also held large positions in Bloom Energy, Taiwan Semiconductor ADR, Nebius, CoreWeave and Core Scientific, alongside stakes in Applied Digital, IREN, Riot Platforms and CleanSpark. The portfolio points to a single crowded thesis tied to AI computing bottlenecks, bundling storage, foundry capacity, cloud compute, power, data centers and mining-machine infrastructure into one directional trade. The filing, however, captures only U.S.-listed securities and some options as of June 30, and does not show intraday trading, the full extent of short positions, financing structures or any sales after that date.
