In X posts on Aug. 15, 2026, he said the copycat app was designed to trick users into entering a seed phrase and that Apple acted within days only after DeFiLlama documented drained funds. 0xngmi also alleged the operators were pushing lookalike apps for other crypto brands and passed know-your-customer verification using defunct companies, including an old shoe shop in DeFiLlama's case.
