Serenity pushed back on market rumors that its account had gone to zero, saying on Aug. 15 that the claim was "too exaggerated" and sharing an image to support its response. It said that even after a sharp July correction in the AI segment, its year-to-date, or YTD, return still stood at 2,411.84%. Serenity had previously disclosed that a drop in AI-related stocks in July at one point led to an about 49.4% drawdown, a peak-to-trough decline, in its portfolio. Its positions are mainly concentrated in volatile parts of AI infrastructure, including storage, optical communications, robotics and upstream semiconductors. The account has drawn market attention for focusing on bottleneck areas in the AI supply chain and for repeatedly researching themes such as memory, photonics, CPO and semiconductor supply chains.
