Bitcoin's liquidation map points to two nearby price levels where forced position closures could intensify. Coinglass data cited by BlockBeats on Aug. 16 shows that if Bitcoin breaks above $65,000, cumulative short liquidation intensity across major CEXs (centralized exchanges) would reach $244 million. If Bitcoin falls below $61,000, cumulative long liquidation intensity would reach $253 million. BlockBeats said the chart is not a precise measure of how many contracts are waiting to be liquidated or the exact value of those liquidations. Instead, its bars show the relative importance, or liquidation intensity, of nearby clusters, offering a view of how strongly price could react when a level is reached and liquidity is forced through the market.
