Cognizant said it will support the introduction and implementation of Benchling, an AI platform for R&D, at Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd.'s Tokyo Research Park and Fuji Research Park in Japan. The deployment is designed to give researchers in Kyowa Kirin's Research Division a single environment for experiment planning, execution, data collection and AI use, while helping standardize workflows and structure research data. The companies said the system is expected to automate experimental design and data capture, connect directly with laboratory instruments, and support molecular design, reporting and analysis across years of experimental history. Cognizant, working with Benchling, is expected to provide end-to-end support from platform setup and data migration to implementation and ongoing maintenance. Kyowa Kirin said the move supports its effort to raise R&D productivity as its pipeline expands and research needs become more advanced and diverse.
