Ethlabs, a nonprofit Ethereum research lab, outlined what it sees as the top priorities for Ethereum’s next network upgrade, Hegotá. It ranked stronger censorship resistance as the leading goal and said EIP-7805 FOCIL had been confirmed as its top proposal. The group also urged making Ethereum faster by adding EIP-8198 Quick Slots, which would shorten slot times to improve confirmation speed and finality. On usability, it recommended native account abstraction through EIP-8141 Frame Transactions, a design meant to support passkey wallets, ERC20 gas payments, batched transactions and privacy. Ethlabs also called for continued Layer 1 scaling, recommending EIP-8131 and EIP-8279 to increase capacity and improve predictability.
