OKX lists Unified Tokenized Stocks spot products tied to underlying stocks and ETFs

OKX said it will add Unified Tokenized Stocks to its spot market, offering users tokenized price exposure to underlying stocks and ETFs through USDT-quoted trading pairs that begin with an uppercase X before the ticker, such as XAAPL and XTSLA. The exchange said the product is powered by xStocks, Payward's tokenized equity framework, supports deposits and withdrawals on Solana and X Layer, and may consolidate tokenized versions of the same stock from multiple providers into a single on-exchange asset with one order book and one set of corporate-action rules. The product is designed to trade 24/7, including outside U.S. market hours, when pricing is based on the last close plus a market estimate. OKX said Unified Tokenized Stocks do not represent ownership of the underlying company and do not confer shareholder rights such as voting, but give users price exposure and the ability to withdraw xStocks if they choose. Dividends are handled through issuer-level reinvestment and reflected as a small increase in share balance after applicable withholding tax, while trading is not paused for dividends. Deposits for all listed assets will open at 09:00 UTC on Aug. 17, 2026. OKX scheduled spot launches on Aug. 18 and Aug. 19 for pairs including XSNOW/USDT, XBOT/USDT, XDKNG/USDT, XNOW/USDT, XHPE/USDT, XCRM/USDT, XXIAOMI/USDT, XPOPMART/USDT, XSMH/USDT, XKO/USDT, XLRCX/USDT, XTTWO/USDT, XRDDT/USDT and XCIEN/USDT, each preceded by a pre-open session and followed by withdrawals. The exchange said the product has not been registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 and may not be offered or sold to U.S. persons or within the United States, while users should check regional availability in the app.
