LG Electronics and Nvidia are in private partnership talks centered on robotics and physical AI, with discussions scheduled at LG's Yangjae research and development campus in Seoul. The meeting comes shortly after Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic business cooperation at Nvidia's headquarters in Santa Clara, California, on Aug. 13. Under that agreement, LG Electronics is developing a bipedal humanoid robot based on Nvidia's platform and is targeting an unveiling in the first quarter of 2027. Industry officials say tighter cooperation could strengthen LG's position in robotics and physical AI, a field focused on AI systems that perceive and act in real-world environments through machines such as humanoid robots.
