HIVE Digital Technologies said during its fiscal first-quarter 2027 earnings call on Aug. 17 that its BUZZ High Performance Computing subsidiary signed a five-year GPU cloud services agreement worth about $350 million with an unnamed investment-grade enterprise customer, a deal expected to add roughly $70 million in annualized recurring revenue and lift BUZZ HPC's total contracted ARR to about $180 million. The contract centers on 2,016 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs configured in GB300 NVL72 rack-scale systems with InfiniBand networking. The latest agreement follows a separate three-year contract announced earlier in 2026 that HIVE said was worth $225 million, showing the company is rapidly building a second business line alongside Bitcoin mining. Management described that approach as a dual-engine model, using cash flow from mining to help finance GPU cloud infrastructure. HIVE said its data center footprint is built around renewable energy, reflecting its mining operations in Sweden, Iceland and Paraguay. The company is also developing a multi-phase AI gigafactory in the Greater Toronto Area that is expected to be energized by late 2027, with operations beginning in early 2028, while an expansion of substation capacity in Paraguay is planned for energization near the end of 2026. Management also floated a long-term target of $1 billion in total revenue, framing it as an aspiration rather than formal guidance.
