Ripple minted another 10 million RLUSD on the XRP Ledger on Aug. 17, with XRPScan showing the tokens moved from the issuer account to a designated RLUSD destination account in a transaction that cost 0.000405 XRP and used two authorized signers. CoinGecko data at the time put circulating supply near 1.711 billion tokens, market capitalization around $1.71 billion and 24-hour trading volume near $50 million, while a later update described outstanding supply at roughly $1.73 billion as RLUSD rebounded toward prior highs after an earlier pullback. The mint followed another 10 million RLUSD issuance on Aug. 10 and came after separate Ethereum burns, including a 5 million RLUSD burn reported by the BankXRP community account, though available records do not show whether those events were linked. RLUSD is issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company under a limited purpose trust charter from the New York State Department of Financial Services, and Ripple says it is redeemable 1:1 with the U.S. dollar and backed by segregated reserves, but the public ledger entry does not by itself prove new institutional demand, exchange deployment or additional XRP purchases.
