Belarus’ industrial production rose 0.1% year on year in the first seven months of 2026, improving from a 0.7% decline in the first half and returning to positive growth after contracting for the previous twelve months. The turnaround was led by a 7.9% increase in electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air-conditioning supply and a 2.7% rise in mining and quarrying output. Water supply, waste management and remediation activities also grew 1.8%. Manufacturing, however, remained a drag on the sector, falling 1.2% and extending its contraction to a full year.
