TRON said its four flagship tokens—JST, SUN, BTT and WIN—have adopted network-wide buyback-and-burn programs funded by protocol revenue, positioning the ecosystem around supply reduction and token-holder returns. In the sponsored announcement, JST said it had completed its fourth major buyback-and-burn round as of July 17, removing 1,711,249,863 JST, or 17.29% of total supply, with cumulative buybacks across four rounds exceeding $94.62 million. SUN.io said it expanded the funding sources for its buyback program to products including SunSwap V2, SunPump and SunX, and said it had carried out 51 consecutive burn rounds since December 15, 2021, removing 678,547,188.32 SUN, or 3.4% of supply. BitTorrent and WINkLink launched their own buyback and burn programs in July and said their burn phases are scheduled to start in Q4 2026, with WIN allocating 100% of revenue to repurchasing WIN and BitTorrent using all revenue from its decentralized business to buy back BTT. The release framed the programs as a shift toward real-yield tokenomics, where protocol income is recycled into open-market repurchases rather than left idle.
