Mowi reported record second-quarter 2026 revenue of EUR 1.6 billion and operational EBIT of EUR 231 million, up 23% from the same period of 2025, as the salmon producer benefited from strong biological and operational performance, record harvest volumes and lower costs. The company harvested a seasonally record 150,000 tonnes of salmon in the quarter, up 7.4% year over year, with Chief Executive Officer Ivan Vindheim highlighting particularly strong performance in Norway and Scotland. The company said salmon prices rose 6% in the second quarter after a period of pressure from exceptionally high industry supply, and were up 21% so far in the third quarter versus 2025 as demand remained strong across markets and supply growth normalized. Vindheim said Mowi expects limited industry supply growth in the coming years, which, together with continued underlying demand, should support a more balanced market. Mowi Consumer Products, the group’s downstream processing business, also posted a record quarter, with seasonally high revenue and volumes of 74,000 tonnes, up 14% from a year earlier. The feed division likewise delivered record seasonal revenue and sales volumes, supported by growth in Mowi’s farming operations. The board approved a second-quarter dividend of NOK 2.30 per share. Mowi said salmon demand value increased 9% in the second quarter from a year earlier, with the strongest growth in Asia led by China, followed by positive trends in Europe and the USA. The company expects market growth to continue through 2026 and beyond, driven by healthier lifestyles, demand for sustainable protein and salmon’s broad consumer appeal. Mowi, headquartered in Bergen and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, said it expects a 2026 harvest of 600,000 tonnes and described itself as the world’s largest producer of farm-raised Atlantic salmon.
