SecondFi, a Cardano wallet provider, said scam activity is likely to rise as it prepares to launch a wallet migration tool and open an asset recovery process in September. The company said it will not contact users first through private messages on any platform, ask for transfer fees or taxes, require users to install extra apps or remote-access tools, or request mnemonic phrases or private keys. It flagged fake migration tools, spoofed websites, address replacement, bogus migration or recovery assistance, upfront fee collection, impersonation of customer support and regulators, and highly realistic AI-driven impersonation as the main threats. Users were told to use only the official SecondFi app and support.secondfi.io for migration and asset recovery.
