WhiteFiber has signed a definitive agreement, through wholly owned subsidiary Enovum Data Centers Corp., to pay $60 million in cash for two industrial properties in Yadkin County, North Carolina, extending its cluster of AI-focused data center assets beyond the existing NC-1 campus in Madison. The sites are slated to become the NC-2 and NC-3 campuses, with at least 60 MW of initial gross utility capacity, about 200 MW of longer-term potential, an expected closing in the fourth quarter of 2026 and initial ready-for-service capacity targeted for the third quarter of 2027. The properties sit about 55 miles from NC-1, where WhiteFiber began billing customers in the second quarter and expects full billing at the run rate for 40 MW of contracted IT load in August under Nscale's 10-year colocation agreement, valued at about $865 million with 3% annual escalators. WhiteFiber said customer discussions for the new sites are advanced and include non-binding letters of intent with investment-grade credit support, though no tenants were identified and no revenue contracts have been signed. The company reported $60.4 million of cash and restricted cash as of June 30 and later expanded its RBC credit facility to C$115 million, underscoring the funding backdrop for its retrofit-first buildout strategy.
