The British Standards Institution-issued certification is effective October 14, 2026 for three years, and the company said it is strategically important because the U.S. FDA's amended Quality Management System Regulation took effect on February 2, 2026 and incorporates ISO 13485:2016 by reference. Intelligent Bio Solutions, which operates an FDA-registered facility in the UK, said the alignment reinforces its regulatory strategy as it seeks FDA clearance for its non-invasive fingerprint sweat drug screening system for codeine detection. The company also completed recertification to ISO 9001:2015 for the jurisdictions where it operates across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
