Canaan mined 46 Bitcoin in July 2026 and held 1,917 BTC and 3,952 ETH at month-end, leaving its Bitcoin treasury up by a net 2 BTC from June. The company reported 14.24 EH/s of operating computing power across 12 active mining installations, but said this metric reflects the theoretical output of energized machines assuming all were operating, meaning it can include temporarily offline equipment. That distinction mattered because the July table included 4.96 EH/s in Ethiopia, nearly 35% of the total, even though a footnote said mining operations there had been paused, leaving unclear how much of that capacity, if any, was actually hashing on July 31. On August 4, 2026, the board also authorized using part of the digital asset treasury to fund ADS buybacks as Canaan cited undervaluation and worked to satisfy Nasdaq Capital Market compliance requirements ahead of a January 2027 deadline.
