Thunes and Fiserv have announced a strategic partnership aimed at improving how global platforms and marketplaces handle international payments. Through the arrangement, Thunes will provide payment capabilities to Fiserv's merchant ecosystem, allowing e-commerce platforms, marketplaces and other Fiserv clients to send money instantly worldwide to pay employees, invoices and suppliers. By connecting to Thunes' Direct Global Network, Fiserv clients will be able to access 12 billion bank accounts and mobile wallets in more than 140 countries and 90 currencies. The companies said the collaboration is designed to give businesses faster, more transparent and more predictable cross-border payments as merchants expand internationally. Thunes also said the deal marks another step in its growth across the Americas after securing money transmission licenses in all U.S. states where they were required.
