Smack Technologies has raised a $61 million Series B led by Costanoa Ventures and First In, bringing total funding to more than $90 million as the defense-tech startup expands its AI decision-making systems across the Joint Force. The company said the proceeds will fund proprietary hardware for Alpha, its tactical AI platform for warfighters operating in communications- and compute-constrained environments, while scaling Omega, which supports command-level planning, broadening models across domains and warfighting functions, and hiring researchers and engineers. Smack, founded in 2024 by MARSOC veterans, says its software is built for campaign-level Decision Dominance rather than general-purpose commercial models; it previously said Omega won two prototyping contracts from the Joint Fires Network and Marine Corps Warfighting Lab worth more than seven figures combined.
