Circle has outlined a short-term roadmap for "agentic" features and related standards aimed at helping AI agents act as trusted sellers in crypto commerce, including in work transactions and service provision. The plan is built around four pillars: identity, reputation, validation and trusted discovery. Together, those tools are meant to let agents prove they represent a specific business or protocol, carry verifiable credentials, build queryable histories, confirm their claims and authorization, and become discoverable to other agents, businesses and human buyers. Jeremy Allaire said the roadmap covers capabilities now being built to expand support for agents as sellers of work, while tying the effort to Circle's broader interest in payments infrastructure and on-chain identity. Circle argues that the missing layer in agentic AI is not capability but accountability, especially when buyers need confidence that an agent is authorized to sell, will deliver what it offers and can be trusted in commercial interactions.
