Coinbase is widening its perpetual-derivatives push by bringing up to 50x crypto perpetuals into Base App through Hyperliquid, placing leveraged on-chain trading alongside spot and wallet functions inside a Coinbase-linked surface. Coinbase has described the effort as aligning markets on Hyperliquid to USDC, indicating the company is leaning on Hyperliquid's on-chain order book and liquidity rather than a standalone Coinbase perpetuals engine. Earlier reporting tied the rollout to more than 290 perpetual markets and said the product was unavailable in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and other restricted jurisdictions, but current announcement-based coverage says the exact market list, timing, geographic availability and order-routing or custody mechanics still await direct confirmation. The move builds on Coinbase's earlier US500 Perps launch and broadens Base's role as a distribution layer for derivatives.
