NASA selected All Points Logistics, Blue Origin, Firefly Aerospace and L3Harris Technologies for a multi-vendor contract to provide pre-launch spacecraft processing services for missions launching from Vandenberg Space Force Base, with a total ceiling of $100 million and an ordering period through Feb. 1, 2033. The work covers payload receiving, integration, testing, propellant loading and encapsulation before spacecraft and associated rocket hardware move to the launch pad. Firefly said the award lets it compete for task orders using its payload processing facility near Space Launch Complex 2, which supports small and medium-size payloads and hypergolic spacecraft and adds to NASA agreements for the Quicksounder and INCUS missions on Alpha. The contract does not guarantee equal revenue to each winner, but NASA's multi-supplier model is meant to expand processing capacity at Vandenberg, where rising launch demand has made ground infrastructure a growing constraint.
