Binance Pay has integrated with DK Bank's domestic QR code network in Bhutan, extending crypto-linked payments to more than 3,700 businesses used by travelers and local customers. Users can open the Binance app, scan a merchant's existing QR code, enter the amount in Bhutanese ngultrum and complete the purchase, while automatic foreign-exchange conversion settles the transaction in USDT. The expansion builds on Bhutan's initial national tourism payment rollout launched in May 2025 with more than 100 merchants and fits Binance's wider push to connect digital-asset balances with established local QR payment rails. Binance said that broader QR network model processed $40 million in its first year and that it aims to extend it to at least 10 countries by the third quarter of 2026. Eligible purchases include travel, lodging, dining and retail, and Binance said users will pay no additional fees and receive a competitive exchange rate under a promotional offer scheduled through Dec. 31.
