Lotte Biologics has completed the relocation of all employees to its Songdo Bio Campus in Incheon as it accelerates preparations for commercial production at Plant 1 next year. The move brings management and core teams including production, quality, engineering and business development together at the manufacturing site, a step the company says should improve collaboration, speed decision-making and help it respond more quickly to client needs and manufacturing issues. Lotte Biologics is also strengthening coordination between its Syracuse Bio Campus in the United States and Songdo under a dual-hub structure in which Syracuse supports early-stage clinical volumes and small-scale production, while Songdo Plant 1 is set up for large-scale commercial manufacturing. At the same time, the company is advancing Good Manufacturing Practice readiness at Songdo Plant 1 through commissioning and qualification of equipment and utilities, with validation of manufacturing and quality systems planned for the second half of this year to support a production framework aligned with global regulatory standards.
