TPEx to adjust trading in six OTC stocks from Aug. 19, 2025

The Taipei Exchange will change the trading methods of six companies on Taiwan's over-the-counter market effective Aug. 19, 2025, after completing its pro forma review of second-quarter 2025 financial reports. Chia Steel, Solid State System and Li Tone Electronics will be newly placed under altered trading methods, or full delivery trading, because their net values fell below half of stated capital. Chun Shen will remain under altered trading methods and face the tighter split trading regime after its net value dropped below three-tenths of stated capital. By contrast, Ways Technical and Energy Recovery will return to normal delivery trading after their net values recovered to at least half of stated capital and improved from the prior period, with no other conditions requiring restrictions. TPEx said the review excluded primary TPEx-listed companies and financial sector firms. The exchange uses these post-earnings checks to flag financial stress and manage market risk, as full delivery and split trading typically raise settlement requirements, reduce liquidity and can increase price volatility.
