Generative art platform fxhash has gone offline, with the company saying it has reached the end of its run and it remains unclear whether the site will return. The team was dismissed in February, leaving only the founder in place, and there are currently no development plans or efforts to repay the company’s loans. Even so, fxhash artworks can still be viewed and traded on Verse, Le Random and objkt, while a former front-end developer has built the WhiteHash framework to preserve fxhash works without relying on fxhash infrastructure. The shutdown follows fxhash’s $5 million seed round in August 2023 led by 1kx.
