Ondo said a single buy transaction worth $2,328,595.73 for 3,167.53 QQQon was completed on Ethereum in one execution, a seven-figure trade the company cited as evidence that tokenized stocks are moving beyond the experimental stage. The order was announced on August 17 and came as Ondo Stocks, the firm's tokenized equities platform, reached more than $1 billion in total value locked and $27 billion in cumulative trading volume since its September 2025 launch. QQQon is one of Ondo's tokenized ETF products giving blockchain-based investors exposure to U.S. equities. While the buyer was not identified and the trade cannot be characterized as institutional based on the available disclosures, the transaction showed the system could process a multi-million-dollar order in a single operation. The development also fits into Ondo's broader push to make tokenized equities more usable across decentralized finance: in February, it enabled SPYon and QQQon as collateral on Morpho with risk parameters set by Gauntlet, and in June it expanded instant minting and redemption for six of its most-traded tokens to a 24/7 model across Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana. Ondo says its platform now offers more than 430 tokenized stocks and ETFs. The wider tokenized stock market remains small relative to traditional equities, but a June 2026 research report valued the segment at more than $1.7 billion, up 149% year on year, with monthly on-chain trading volume exceeding $6.7 billion. Regulatory scrutiny is also increasing: on January 28, three SEC divisions said a security keeps its regulatory status even when tokenized.
