Two Shenzhen robotics companies are advancing separate capital-market plans amid China’s growing embodied AI and humanoid-robotics sector. Lumos Robotics is considering another fundraising round and plans to begin preparing for a possible stock-market listing next year, while LimX Dynamics has confidentially submitted a Hong Kong IPO application and is seeking several hundred million dollars, with offering size and timing still under discussion. Lumos, founded in 2024, has raised about 1 billion yuan ($147 million) across seven rounds and is focusing on factory robots, including its wheeled dual-arm MOS 2, industrial deployments and overseas expansion. LimX, founded in 2022 and backed by Alibaba, JD.com and IDG Capital, develops humanoid and modular robots and completed a $200 million pre-IPO round in July at a valuation of RMB 15 billion, or about $2.2 billion.
