Risen Energy and Ascania Energy signed two strategic memorandums of understanding to pursue solar and energy storage projects in Ukraine covering up to 100 MW of solar capacity and 200 MWh of infrastructure-level battery storage. The documents were signed by Jerry Qin, President for Europe at Risen Energy, and Yevhen Piatko, General Director and Co-Owner of Ascania Energy, with Jehor Jarmolenko, Chief Technology Officer of Ascania Energy, attending the ceremony. The companies said the framework is aimed at Ukraine's need for new generation capacity, decentralized energy infrastructure and flexible power solutions, with solar-plus-storage positioned to add distributed capacity, improve renewable integration, shift electricity demand and support businesses during grid constraints. Ascania operates across project development, engineering, EPC, system integration, energy management, trading and direct power supply, while Risen said its cumulative PV module shipments exceeded 121.4 GW and battery energy storage deliveries topped 10 GWh as of the second quarter of 2026, with business in more than 90 countries and regions. Risen has supplied modules to 12 solar projects in Ukraine, including the 323 MW Pokrovskaja Solar Power Plant, and the partners said they will keep working on project development, product localization, engineering training, after-sales service and technical capacity building after an Aug. 13 visit by the Ascania delegation to Risen's manufacturing facility.
