U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds attracted $517.2 million in net inflows on Aug. 19, 2026, their largest single-day intake in roughly three months, as Bitcoin surged 8.3% toward the $70,000 level. The move extended the category's run of positive flows to three consecutive trading sessions and was led by BlackRock's IBIT, which drew $284.7 million, or more than half of the total. Ark Invest's ARKB added $77.7 million, Fidelity's FBTC took in $62.4 million, Bitwise's BITB gained $35.6 million, Grayscale's GBTC added $21.2 million and Morgan Stanley's MSBT brought in $10 million. Spot Ethereum ETFs also recorded strong demand with $189.1 million of net inflows on the same day, led by BlackRock's ETHA at $122.1 million, followed by Fidelity's FETH at $36.5 million and Grayscale's Mini ETH at $16 million. Bitcoin was trading at $69,561.58 as of 3:27 p.m., while Ethereum rose nearly 18% to reclaim the $2,200 level. The flow pattern suggests institutional investors are directing regulated crypto exposure toward large-cap assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, while products tied to altcoins including XRP and Solana have yet to attract fresh capital.
