BTQ said Dr. Michael Grace has joined its U.S. team to help develop, secure and commercialize Quantum Compute-in-Memory, or QCIM, its soft IP cryptographic accelerator for classical and post-quantum cryptography. Grace previously led Samsung Mobile's Knox Security Team and later served as Director of Product Security at Mojo Vision. The appointment comes as BTQ pushes QCIM from architecture work toward broader system integration and commercial evaluation after completing an initial milestone with Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute that validated the QCIM core in a TSMC 28-nanometre design environment and showed acceleration of cryptographic operations tied to FIPS 203, FIPS 204 and FIPS 205. BTQ said the program has entered module-level integration, verification and validation as it works with ICTK Co., Ltd. and ITRI on a multi-year chip roadmap aimed at IoT, AI devices, industrial systems, secure elements, edge devices and other connected infrastructure.
