BNB Chain Agent Studio v2 adds Altana wallet and TypeScript support

BNB Chain has rolled out the second major version of Agent Studio, adding Altana as a new wallet option designed to let autonomous AI agents operate within owner-defined limits rather than with unrestricted access to user funds. Agents using Altana rely on scoped session keys governed by spending limits, allowlists and time bounds that are recorded onchain and can be revoked instantly, while TWAK, or Trust Wallet AgentKit, remains available for always-on autonomous signing. The update also expands the platform’s commercial and developer tooling. Agents can now be hired and paid directly, with funds settling to their wallets through a standard receiving interface that BNB Chain said completes the ERC-8183 commerce flow end to end. Agent Studio v2 also adds TypeScript support alongside Python, introduces a Paymaster that covers gas on BSC Testnet so developers do not need to manually fund wallets to begin testing, and replaces per-provider cloud deployment integrations with a standard provider interface. BNB Chain said Agent Studio first launched in July, allowing developers to describe an AI agent in a single prompt and deploy it to BNB Smart Chain. In the initial release, agents could spend but not earn; v2 adds that missing revenue capability. Existing agents continue to run without migration, and BNB Chain said it currently hosts more registered AI agents than any other network.
