The Ethereum Foundation’s Ecosystem Support Program awarded $5,502,930.20 in Q2 2026 to projects supporting Ethereum protocol work, security, zero-knowledge research and developer tooling. The Aug. 18 update includes work involving Lodestar, Lighthouse and Geth-related initiatives, client diversity, testing infrastructure, formal verification, cryptography and research connected to the planned Glamsterdam upgrade. Other allocations covered block-proving infrastructure, zkVM research, verification tools, smart-contract security, wallet and application infrastructure, and open-source developer tools. The funding report is an itemized snapshot of ecosystem grants, not a token grant, a change to Ethereum’s protocol economics, a forecast of delivery dates or a guarantee that funded projects will reach production.
