Bitget has introduced CFD sub-account support aimed at institutional clients, professional trading teams and high-net-worth users seeking to separate strategies and isolate positions. The feature allows standard sub-accounts and standard virtual sub-accounts to activate individual CFD trading accounts under a main account, with each setup receiving an independent MT5 ID and dedicated passwords after the user agrees to the MT5 Trading Agreement. Main accounts must already have CFD trading enabled, and the main account's identity verification and risk-control status automatically apply to eligible sub-accounts. Each main account can enable CFD trading for up to five sub-accounts by default. Funding requires a two-step process because funds cannot be transferred directly from a main account into a sub-account's CFD account, and transfers between different sub-accounts' CFD accounts are not supported. Users must first move funds from the main account to the sub-account's spot account or unified trading account, then transfer those funds from the sub-account into its own CFD account. Only USDT transfers are supported, with inbound and outbound transfers rounded to two decimal places. Bitget said main accounts serve as super administrators for sub-accounts. Through the CFD assets section, they can review activation status, MT5 IDs and asset data including balances, equity and margin ratios, while the CFD orders section allows monitoring of open orders, order history and fund or transfer records. Password resets for CFD access can only be handled through the main account, covering both master passwords and read-only passwords. Risk notifications such as fund changes and liquidation warnings are sent by default only to the sub-account's own email, inbox and app push notifications, though users can choose to sync those alerts to the main account. Archived MT5 accounts must be reactivated before trading resumes, and any assets or open positions in CFD accounts must be cleared before a main account or sub-account can be deleted.
