DMND said on August 14 that it integrated Mempool Accelerator into its Stratum V2 mining pool, allowing individual miners to control transaction acceleration and prioritization and collect the extra revenue when their block includes those accelerated transactions. The move changes a long-standing model in which mining pools typically chose which transactions to prioritize in block templates and kept the associated fees themselves. DMND said Stratum V2 and Job Declaration enable miners to build their own blocks, creating a new revenue stream that had previously sat at the pool level. Alejandro De La Torre, CEO of DMND, described the change as a "paradigm shift" in how miners earn. Orange Surf, Head of Strategy & Research at mempool.space, said Mempool Accelerator allows users to pay an out-of-band fee to help confirm stuck transactions, adding that more than 80% of network hashrate prioritizes those transactions and that DMND's setup is the first of its kind.
