Rillet, which launched in summer 2024, has raised a $100 million Series C at a $1 billion valuation, becoming a unicorn. The round was led by ICONIQ with participation from Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia, bringing total funding above $200 million. Amid a U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics forecast of a 6% drop in bookkeeping, accounting and auditing clerk jobs from 2024 to 2034 due to automation, the company has grown to serve more than 600 customers and doubled its annual recurring revenue in recent months. Rillet is developing a vertical AI platform that embeds AI agents directly into accounting processes to replace legacy ERP systems from Oracle, SAP and NetSuite. Its AI agents have increased 70% month over month, with hundreds approaching thousands operating in parallel to close books, while delivering real-time financial data traceable to source records. Co-founder and CEO Nicolas Kopp said the platform was once deemed impossible and noted the shift from accountants performing basic tasks across spreadsheets and legacy systems.
