Hyperliquid seeks feedback on HIP-4 testnet templates for prediction markets

Hyperliquid is collecting public feedback on the latest HIP-4 testnet templates, a step toward its proposed permissionless standard for outcome and prediction markets. Core contributor Xulian said templates can be accessed through onchain queries or the testnet API, with each template family using incrementing integer suffixes to mark the newest version. After feedback is gathered, validators will review the templates and hold an onchain vote. Only approved templates can be written to mainnet for deployers to use, and any template instantiation still depends on HIP-4 being enabled on mainnet. The testnet currently contains 16 template records including older versions. Counting only the highest version in each family, there are about 12 latest templates covering seven market structures, including expiry-price markets settled by TWAP (time-weighted average price), trigger-price markets, range-yield products, central bank decision contracts, and sports binary and win-draw-win markets. Hyperliquid's mainnet outcomeTemplates and deployer lists are still empty, indicating permissionless templates have not formally opened yet.
