China's major stock indexes fell on Aug. 19, led by a 6.89% drop in the STAR 50 Index. The Shanghai Composite declined 95.88 points, or 2.4%, to 3,894.42, while the Shenzhen Component dropped 732.34 points, or 5.01%, to 13,890.15. The CSI 300 Index fell 137.12 points, or 2.9%, to 4,588.7. The ChiNext Index lost 232.07 points, or 6.26%, to 3,473.49. The figures were reported by ChainCatcher using Gate market data.
